Caring for a child at home

You can apply for a home care allowance if you are caring for a child at home. The family can apply for a home care allowance if a child under the age of three is cared for at home by a guardian or other caregiver, such as a relative or a private nanny. You can apply for home care allowance from Kela. If certain conditions are met, the family can also receive a municipal supplement or a special supplement for Kerava residents.
